Rimini, 23 October 2023 . IBE Driving Experience returns to the World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Misano Adriatico, the biennial event organized by Italian Exhibition Group dedicated to the bus travel industry. At its third edition, scheduled for 24-25 October, the event offers two days of meetings and test drives for long-distance private bus operators and local public transport operators. The ideal scenario combining business opportunities and refresher courses.

Launched in 2019 as a spin-off experience of IBE Intermobility and Bus Expo, the reference event in the Mediterranean area for the world of collective transport whose upcoming edition is scheduled for 2024 at the IEG Rimini Expo Centre, IBE Driving Experience takes place on one of the world´s leading motorsport circuits. The event attracts industry professionals with the latest developments from the bus industry, involving manufacturers, software and technology suppliers, bus operators, local public transport operators, long-distance transport operators and trade associations.

THE MAJOR PLAYERS IN SUSTAINABLE COLLECTIVE MOBILITY
As in the previous editions, IBE Driving Experience confirms the participation of the major industrial mobility players, including manufacturers and producers from the supply chain. Among the exhibitors presenting their electric range are IVECO BUS, KARSAN, ISUZU BUS, PEPPERMOTION - ETROFIT, FOTON and MAN, recent winner of the Sustainable Bus of The Year 2024 award with its Lion´s City 10 E in the urban bus category at Busworld in Brussels. The coach segment will be represented by MAN with the updated version of the Neoplan Tourliner, while SCANIA will take to the track with a new vehicle from the Touring range. VOLVO BUSES premieres with its VOLVO 9700 Double Decker, and IRIZAR will celebrate the first 30 in Misano years of Irizar Italia. Also present in the paddock are the OTOKAR and KING LONG vehicles.

TEST DRIVES AND FOCUS ON ELECTRIC
The crowd puller of the event that IEG offers to the bus travel industry network are the test drives scheduled for Wednesday 25 October. The opportunity for bus drivers to run the 4,226 metres of the Misano circuit is all thanks to the vehicles provided by international public and private transport players present at the event. In Misano, the spotlight of the 2023 edition of the IBE Driving Experience is on electricity with ´Electric Bus Drivers Training´. After a theory briefing, bus drivers do a number of practical sessions to test the technological developments of latest generation buses.

THE AN.BTI - ASSTRA PARTNERSHIP IN FULL SWING
Following on from previous editions, the extensive collaboration between IBE Driving Experience, ASSTRA and AN.BTI CONFCOMMERCIO continues to support the growth of the industry and encourage discussion, exchange and knowledge. From this perspective, the programme includes the AN.BTI Assembly which will conclude with the institutional dinner scheduled for 24 October 2023 and the Asstra Board Meeting which will take place on the morning of 25 October with the participation of the directors in the networking lunch open to all exhibitors and guests at the circuit.

INSIGHTS, NETWORKING, TRAINING
Several meeting opportunities for the industry professionals. IBE Driving Experience inaugurates the event on Tuesday 24 October with ´Local and non-urban public transport: public and private for intermobility in cities and tourism in villages´, to tackle the challenges of intermobility in collective tourist transport in cities and villages. The session, ´Bus and coach: new sources of traction, technology and repositioning of industrial supply chains´ is scheduled for Wednesday 25, for an in-depth analysis of how electric is driving the repositioning of the bus industry. Also to be held on Wednesday, the Open Day of the Start Romagna Scuderia Start project aimed at training new talents in public and private transport.
