Rimini, 21 October 2023 . The IBE Driving Experience, the biennial event organized by Italian Exhibition Group scheduled from 24-25 October at the World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Misano Adriatico, has a great line up of talks and insights for the bus travel industry. High-profile guests and innovative content, debates and round tables to meet the challenges of the public and private long-distance passenger transport sector.

FIRST STOP: CITIES, VILLAGES AND TRANSPORT AS A TOURIST MAGNET
´Local and non-urban public transport: public and private for intermobility in cities and tourism in villages´ is the opening event on Tuesday 24 October. Institutional greetings from Corrado Peraboni, CEO of Italian Exhibition Group, and Roberta Frisoni, councilor for urban and local planning at the Municipality of Rimini, this meeting is an opportunity to weigh up the challenges of intermobility in collective tourism transport in cities and villages, understanding the advantages and opportunities, the obstacles and critical issues.

Moderated by Radio24 journalist, Massimo De Donato, the meeting is divided into two parts. In the first round table, Angelo Costa, managing director of Arriva Italia, Nadia Amitrano, ebus support sales of Enel X, Roberto Sacchetti, president of Start Romagna, Gianluca Annunziata, business director Italy ofbus, and Enrique Enrich, president and CEO of Scania Italia will discuss the challenges and opportunities of intermobility in collective transport, which is moving towards urban transformation through public-private collaboration, with success stories and new technological perspectives.

The second round table addresses the topic of non-urban transport connected to cities, with thermal spas, art, food and wine, culture, religion, and seasonal adjustment as drivers of development of inland tourism. Speakers include: Francesco Felici, from the Ministry of Tourism (MiTur), director of tourism planning and policies, Riccardo Verona, president of ANBTI Confcommercio, Andrea Gibelli, president of ASSTRA, Luigi Zironi, president of ANCI Città dei Motori and mayor of the Municipality of Maranello, and Fiorello Primi, President of the Association promoting the most beautiful villages in Italy.

CONCLUDING WITH THE FUTURE OF ELECTRIC
The in-depth study ´Bus & Coach: new sources of traction, technology and reorganization of industrial supply chains´, closes the conference sessions of the IBE Driving Experience on Wednesday 25 October with a spotlight on how electric is driving the repositioning of the bus industry. The meeting is aimed at examining how first post-pandemic crisis and now the transition towards electromobility have pushed manufacturers to further relocate and abandon the dream of the ´home-made´ bus.
Moderated by Gianluca Ventura, editorial director of Pullman, the meeting will feature Alessandro Verdecchia, general manager of Volvo Buses Italia, Roberto Caldini, general manager of buses&coaches Scania Italia, Graziella Tomassini, CEO of Tomassini Style, Umberto Mauri, CEO of Otokar Italia, and Antonio Bornacci, CEO of Irizar Italia.
