• IBE Driving Experience and Scuderia Start di Start Romagna join forces for a new training and recruiting programme for young talents
• 80 young aspiring drivers taking part at the Open Day: internship opportunity for the 5 winners

Rimini, 23 October 2023 . IBE Driving Experience, the biennial event organized by Italian Exhibition Group from October 24-25, that brings the bus and travel industry together at the World Circuit Marco Simoncelli di Misano Adriatico, will hold an open day entitled: ´School´s out, start your future with IBE´, a training and recruiting project in collaboration with Scuderia Start di Start Romagna.

The programme dedicated to young people graduating from technical-professional schools with a mechanical, electronic and mechatronic orientation, will involve 80 students and aims at shining a light on career opportunities in the collective road transport sector, and contributing to bridging the skills gap currently present in the job market and make the industry more appealing.

OPEN DAY PROGRAMME
At IBE Driving Experience, students have the opportunity to engage with specialized operators in the industry on both attitudinal and motivational as well as technical and specialist skills to successfully face the challenges of predictive maintenance and extraordinary maintenance, essential skills to minimize the impact on the operations of transport companies. They also get the chance to try a bus driving simulator and a bus diagnostics and repair simulator provided by Golia Infogestweb, and even do a lap on the track on board an Iveco bus.

SCHOOLS INVOLVED
The following are the schools involved in the project: Istituto d´Istruzione Superiore ´Marie Curie´ in Savigliano, Istituto ISISS ´P.Gobetti´ in Morciano di Romagna, Istituto Professionale per l´Industria e l´Artigianato ´L.Battista Alberti ´ in Rimini, and Istituto Professionale Statale ´Olivetti Callegari´ in Ravenna.

FROM OPEN DAY TO INTERNSHIP
The ´School´s out, Start your Future with IBE´ Open Day creates a roadmap that points straight to the beginning of summer 2024. The training plan entails months of preparation in view of the actual competition to be held next March, in which students undertake individual and group tests to assess their technical, organizational and problem-solving skills. June 2024 is the final stage of the project and the 5 winners of the contest will begin an internship at Start Romagna bus company.
